C.H. Yadon Letter Of Resignation Due To Affirmation Resolution

Dear Brother Urshan,

....As I understand, the problem which caused the resolution, is stated in the preamble. There are false prophets, seducing spirits, doctrines of devils and those departing from the faith who yet want to retain fellowship with the movement. There was also a threat to go to law.

It seems to me that such problems should have been dealt with in their respective districts. To call into question the loyalty of the entire fellowship because of such men is like pulling up the tares and expecting it to not effect the wheat. Men of this character cannot have a right relationship with Jesus Christ. It has been said, "Every man's heart is held by what it holds.". No matter what a man declares in doctrine, if he does not have the spirit of truth in the inward parts, he does not have it at all. Men of this type will sign the resolution of loyalty and go on to do their own thing. ...

It is not an easy decision for me. I have ministered for over sixty-five years. This fellowship has been my life and that of my family. Without asking for it, because of the misbehavior of others, I am asked to sign a resolution that I believe to be destructive for years to come. This I cannot do.
