Let Me Build A Bridge

Lord, let me be a bridge builder:

From the hungry to the well fed; let me build a bridge.

From the thirsty to the well watered; let me build a bridge.

From the lonely to the satisfied; let me build a bridge.

For there is a gap that must be closed, a bridge that must be built. A
hole between two worlds closed, where needs are not met nor felt.

Lord, let me be a bridge builder:

From the naked to the clothed; let me build a bridge.

From the poor to the rich; let me build a bridge.

From the hurting to the comforted; let me build a bridge.

For only if this bridge is built, can many eyes all see, that we need to
walk toward each other, overlooking each others frailties.

Lord, let me be a bridge builder, I want to close the gap, so we can be
one as we should be one. Lord, grant me that.

Also it's true, Oh Lord, I know that I can't cross this bridge alone, but
if it's built, Oh Lord, I know, that for others your blood will atone.

Lord, let me be a bridge builder, one who knows I also must cross, to
find and compel others come, to be saved and not utterly lost.
